I know I’ve been MIA lately. I’ve mentioned my reasons on social media, but I never did write up a blog post.
For anyone visiting my website, I just wanted to reassure you that I’ve not abruptly given up on my writing career. It’s not like that at all, I’ve just been busy.
Current Job
The biggest reason for my absence has been my current full time job. I LOVE this job. I’m working on marketing materials all day everyday, and unlike my last position I find myself almost constantly busy. My downtime at my old job allowed me more time to brainstorm blog ideas, and I just don’t have that luxury.
Line Editing
I’m line editing FanFact, and as you might imagine that’s…a process. A process I’m almost done with!
Blogging was Taking Over Writing
The biggest reason why I’ve stepped away from blogging is because all the writing and advertising was stopping me from spending my free time finishing my novel, which is the whole reason I started this blog in the first place.
In Conclusion…
I’ll be back to updating regularly again soon. I only have a few chapters of FanFact left to line edit, then the manuscript is off for a final beta read and small edits before I start looking for an agent, and I’m sure I’ll have tons to say about that process.
